According to ABC13, the student had just left Fleming Middle School and was walking along Crane Street when a man in a truck allegedly grabbed her. She pulled away and ran, heading home first, then on to the Dollar Plus store when she realized no one was there, urgently alerting staff about what had just happened.

The girl’s mother, Ebony Crosby, told ABC13 that she reassured her daughter the assault was not her fault. Crosby said the incident happened while she was at the hospital for a mastectomy.
