Corner store clerk shot while closing up in robbery in Sunnyside, HPD says

HOUSTON (KIAH) — A man survived being shot up to eight times, while working at a southeast Houston corner store overnight Wednesday morning.

Police said it happened at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday outside the business on Barberry Drive near Scott Street in the heart of Sunnyside.
