Suspects netted more than $200K in parking lot scheme at NRG Park, according to court records

HOUSTON — Three people are facing felony charges after police say they were behind a scheme that netted more than $200,000 from customers at NRG Park over the course of a year.

Taelor Miller, Vincent Ward and Reginald Antwon Smith were charged in the alleged parking scheme that took place during events at the Houston stadium complex between March 2024 and March 2025. They were employed as parking attendants within that time span, according to court records.

Court documents indicate the alleged scheme came to light after Houston police investigated complaints from the NRG Park security staff. The complaints alleged that the accused parking attendants were using payment processing devices with usernames like “Nrg2” and “Nrg Parking” to collect money from customers…
