HOUSTON (KIAH) — A Houston police officer shot at a robbery suspect who was attempting to rob a cash pawn store, police said.
The officer responded to a robbery call at the 200 block of West Greens Road in north Houston around 8:30 a.m. Monday. The officer saw a suspect holding a female clerk at gunpoint and using her as a shield, police said.
As the suspect and clerk exited the store, the HPD officer then fired his weapon at the suspect, hitting him multiple times, police said. The officer then provided first aid to the suspect until EMS officials arrived to take him to a local hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
