Houston Afghan Center condemns violence, worries backlash

HOUSTON (KIAH) — The Afghan Community Cultural Center in Houston is speaking out after a 29-year-old Afghan man allegedly shot two National Guard members in Washington, D.C., on Thanksgiving Eve.

On Monday, the ACCC condemned the attack and stressed that one person’s actions do not reflect the Afghan community, its values, or its long-standing commitment to peace and cooperation.
