The Houston area may be on the verge of a medical cannabis milestone: its first state-licensed THC dispensaries.
Earlier this week, the Texas Department of Public Safety announced that it would issue two licenses in Public Health Region 6 (Houston and the Gulf Coast) to comply with recent legislation that increases accessibility to Texas’ Compassionate Use Program. The program allows qualifying Texans to use cannabis for medical purposes legally.
PharmaCann and Story of Texas LLC are in the process of obtaining the necessary licenses to operate in the Houston area, but have not yet received final approval.
