Murder victim’s family and friends: “Now let’s see justice served!”

Houston/Beaumont — A large group of family and friends of Laquanta Edwards honored her memory tonight during a balloon release at her alma mater, C.E. King High School in Houston. They shared video and photos with KFDM.

Thaddeus McCray is charged with stabbing her multiple times in Beaumont and dumping her body on a road near Tyrrell Park. Judge Raquel West upped his bond today to $1.5 million on a murder charge.

Relatives and friends say Laquanta was a wonderful, loving, caring mother who would do anything for her six children…
