Houston man charged in deadly crash, series of armed carjackings near Gulf Freeway

HOUSTON — We now know more about a suspect who allegedly caused a series of crashes and carjackings that left one driver dead and multiple vehicles damaged on Friday.

The incident began just after 8 a.m. near Gulf Freeway and Park Place, when a driver struck several cars and fled the scene, killing another driver in the process. The medical examiner will determine the cause of her death. Houston police did not confirm whether she was struck by gunfire.

According to Houston police, the suspect then carjacked two additional drivers at gunpoint before being arrested while attempting a third carjacking on I-59. Police confirmed the suspect abandoned his white SUV, while the victim’s black car remained at the scene…
