Trial begins for man accused of fatally shooting attorney at Katy Freeway McDonald’s

HOUSTON – The trial began Monday morning for Anthony Martin Landry, 57, who is charged with murdering 46-year-old attorney Jeffrey Limmer in a shooting at a McDonald’s along the West Interstate 10 service road in May of 2024.

What happened

According to Houston police, the incident happened around 6 p.m. on May 4, 2024 at 8147 Katy Freeway.

Officers responding to the scene found Limmer unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators said the fatal confrontation began after a verbal disagreement inside the restaurant. Landry, dissatisfied with his order and seeking a refund, reportedly argued with staff. Limmer, an attorney with Lewis Brisbois law firm, attempted to calm the situation…
