Houston Drug Bust Uncovers More Than 200 Pounds of Meth Hidden Behind False Wall

Houston, TX – A multi-agency investigation has uncovered one of the largest methamphetamine seizures in the region this year, after deputies found more than 200 pounds of meth hidden behind a false wall inside a Houston home. The discovery was announced by Chambers County Sheriff Brian Hawthorne, who said the coordinated operation brought several law enforcement agencies together on December 4, 2025.

Major Drug Bust Uncovered During Multi-Agency Operation

Investigators from the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office, the DEA Galveston Resident Office, Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Galveston Police Department, Texas City Police Department, Houston Police Department, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office executed the search that led to the massive seizure.

Deputies said the methamphetamine was located inside a concealed compartment built into the structure of the home. Officers also arrested two individuals believed to be in the U.S. illegally, though authorities have not released their names or additional details about potential charges.

How Investigators Found the Drugs

The operation unfolded after ongoing intelligence work connected the home to suspected trafficking activity. When officers searched the property, they discovered a false wall engineered to hide bulk narcotics, a tactic investigators say is increasingly common among organized drug networks.

Authorities described the scene as a sophisticated setup designed to shield large quantities of illegal drugs from routine detection.
