Man at East Houston oil company arrested, charged with felony water pollution, HPD says

Houston police said they’ve recently arrested a man for water pollution. Investigators said he was allowing used oil from his business to spill into Buffalo Bayou.

Court documents reveal that 30-year-old Juan Louis Reyes had used oil tankers at his company, “Elite Oil Services.”

Detectives said back in August 2024, they learned through a search warrant that he allowed the oil to spill on his property on Munn Street, contaminating soil in a ditch outside the property, which led to City of Houston stormwater, feeding directly into Buffalo Bayou…
