3,000 homes planned for massive new community outside Houston

A sprawling, 1,074-acre tract in the far northeast of Houston is set to become one of the region’s newest master-planned communities, as developers move to capitalize on rapid population growth and expanding job centers in the area.

The development, called Arabella Crossing, will rise north of FM 1960 near Dayton and is expected to ultimately deliver about 3,100 homes, according to developer Paul Hayden Developments. The land was acquired by Connor Investment Real Estate.
