More than 100K gallons of wastewater spilled in SE Houston after structural failure, city says

The City of Houston is alerting residents about a wastewater spill in southeast Houston on Friday.

The city said a structural failure led to more than 100,000 gallons of wastewater being spilled on Goodyear, just south of Highway 225, as of 8 p.m. Friday.

If you get your drinking water from the City of Houston, officials say your water is safe. However, people using private drinking water supply wells within half a mile of the spill site should boil any water for personal use…
