DICKINSON, Texas — A hero chose to remain anonymous after saving a woman and her infant child after they crashed into a Houston-area bayou on New Year’s Day.
On Thursday, just before 9:45 p.m., Dickinson police said they got a 911 call about a major crash along FM 517 just east of the Gulf Freeway. The caller said a vehicle had crashed into Dickinson Bayou near Paul Hopkins Park.
Authorities said the woman was eastbound on FM 517 when she hit a curb and lost control of her minivan, veering across several lanes of traffic. She was unable to stop the van as it slid down an embankment and crashed into the water…
