HOUSTON (CW39) — Police have found a body in Buffalo Bayou in downtown Houston on Tuesday, the first body found in the bayou in 2026.
The body was found near Baker Street, close to the University of Houston-Downtown.
Houston Fire Department officials were called to the intersection of Commerce Street and Fannin Street just before 2 p.m. Tuesday for a water rescue. They later discovered that the person found was already dead.
Police have yet to release identification of the body or the cause of death, but they said that there were no obvious signs of foul play. The Harris County Medical Examiner’s Office will provide the cause of death…
