HOUSTON (CW39) – Gonzalo Leon will not be able to leave the Harris County Jail after a judge denied a request to lower his bond on Thursday.
Leon sat alongside his attorney, Gianpaolo Macerola, as his attorney fought to have bail reduced to $500,000 instead of the set $1 million. Harris County District Judge Emily Detoto refused, citing the violent nature of the allegations and the circumstances surrounding the child’s death.
