A lawyer for a 17-year-old accused of killing an innocent bystander on a Houston Metro bus contends another passenger was visibly armed with a gun as he was on the transport.
Brayden Smith is accused of opening fire last week on the bus in the 10800 block of Richmond Avenue. Caitlin Stup, 25, was killed by a gunshot wound to the head that authorities believe was intended for the other passenger, 18-year-old Patrick Scott, who is charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon. The pair was arrested Thursday.
