Francesca’s, the Houston-based women’s clothing retailer, will shut hundreds of stores nationwide, according to an industry news report.
According to a report in Women’s Wear Daily on Friday evening, the chain will liquidate its inventory and close all of its stores soon as it “plans to shut down operations.” It’s unclear when stores will be closed.
In 2020, the retailer filed for bankruptcy and shut down hundreds of stores after years of struggling to compete with online retailers and the COVID-19 pandemic hurt sales at its physical store.
