League City police will stop using AI to enhance booking photos after a woman’s altered mugshot sparked social media backlash this week.
Police posted the woman’s booking photo on Facebook on Wednesday after she was arrested on a misdemeanor theft warrant accusing her of stealing from an Ulta Beauty store in League City.
In addition to the League City warrant, the woman, identified by police as 56-year-old Carmen Scarlet Fernandez, had eight outstanding warrants, including one felony warrant from Galveston County, three felony warrants issued by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office and four other misdemeanor warrants, according to police…
