Man Fatally Struck by Pickup on Jensen Drive in Houston as Police Investigate the Tragic Accident

Police are currently investigating a fatal collision that happened on Jensen Drive in Houston, where a man lost his life after being struck by a pickup truck on Thursday evening. According to City of Houston News, the incident took place around 8:15 p.m. at the 9000 block of Jensen Drive, where a 51-year-old pedestrian was fatally hit while pushing a bicycle across the street.

The male victim’s identity is being withheld until next of kin are notified. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences will release the name once the family has been informed. HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division, led by Sergeant M. Sudduth and Officer C. Ballard, is investigating. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk when a brown Ford F-150 struck him. The driver remained on the scene, was found not under the influence, and was questioned before being released.

Officials emphasized the risks of crossing streets outside crosswalks. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. No charges have been filed as the investigation continues…
