A quiet stretch of bayou in Baytown turned into an active scene Sunday after a submerged vehicle was spotted, leaving one person dead, according to authorities. Officers responded to a call about a car in the water near Kilgore Road and East James Avenue at about 11 a.m. Crews were brought in to recover both the vehicle and the victim, and investigators say the probe into what happened is still underway.
