A Harris County Sheriff’s Office sergeant was arrested at work and is now being held in the Harris County Jail, according to online records.
Multiple law enforcement sources say the sergeant, identified as John Black, 46, is accused of sending sexually explicit photos of himself to an underage teen in Florida. Online records show Black was arrested Monday afternoon at offices that house the sheriff’s office Internal Affairs Division.
Black is a veteran officer who previously worked in the department’s homicide unit and has appeared publicly in the past discussing murder investigations.
