Beloved Houston-area Mexican restaurant to end service after 25 years

Seabrook is losing a valued member of its food community.

In a Facebook post on Saturday, the Zuniga family of Las Anitas, a Mexican restaurant at 4624 NASA Parkway, announced that Saturday would be the restaurant’s last day of operation. The eatery, known for its cozy decor and homestyle menu, had operated for 25 years.

Carlos Zuniga, his wife Patricia and their three children are longtime residents of the area, calling it home for more than two decades. In 2001, they opened Las Anitas in hopes of sharing generations of family recipes with the Seabrook community. A restaurant veteran, Zuniga ensured his relationship with and love for food carried over to his patrons and beyond…
