Some coin dealers and jewelry stores saw foot traffic triple this week as Houstonians rushed to cash in on record-high gold and silver prices.
At U.S. Coins and Jewelry, 350 people flocked to the Memorial area storefront on Thursday to buy or sell gold and silver bars, coins and scrap jewelry. On Friday, an ever-replenishing line of about 30 people wrapped around the store’s long countertop.
