At about 8 p.m., police said, officers were at the shopping plaza near Homestead and Guadalupe attempting to break up the crowd when an “altercation” behind the center escalated to gunfire, injuring six, police said. Two of the male victims, estimated to be 20 and 15, were in critical condition. Four victims in stable condition were a 16-year-old boy, a man and woman both 20 and a 22-year-old woman.
