CRYSTAL BEACH, Texas – A woman who was struck and killed while running across Highway 87 in Crystal Beach leaves behind a family devastated by her loss and asking for help in laying her to rest.
Monica Breland, 57, died at about 7:45 Saturday night when she ran across the road in front of moving traffic and was struck by a driver traveling west near Jose’s Cantina, according to information Sheriff Jimmy Fullen provided to KFDM News. Breland died at the scene.
