Houston police seek alleged suspect in $5,900 shoplifting case

HOUSTON, Texas — Authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a felony theft at a Houston business, according to a press release from Crime Stoppers of Houston.

On January 13, 2026, surveillance footage captured a suspect stealing merchandise valued at approximately $5,900 from a store located in the 500 block of Almeda Mall. The suspect, described as a Black male approximately 5’10” with black hair, quickly grabbed the item and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction, stated the Houston Police Department Property & Financial Crimes Division.
