100,000-gallon wastewater spill flows into Houston area creek, TCEQ notification says

Around 100,000 gallons of wastewater overflowed into a storm drain and then into a creek Wednesday morning in southwest Harris County, according to a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality public notification.

The spill came from the Harris County MUD 221 Wastewater Treatment Facility, located at 15715 Grovedale in Houston, and flowed 450-feet north into Turkey Creek, according to the TCEQ report.
