Inspection finds ‘critical’ concern after camel kicked woman at Houston megachurch’s Christmas show

A federal inspection faulted a company near Conroe for failing to take precautions during a Christmas show at a Houston megachurch where a camel kicked a woman in the audience, apparently knocking her unconscious.

The United States Department of Agriculture identified a “critical” concern when inspecting Trunks and Humps Inc., the firm that provided animals at Champion Forest Baptist Church’s annual Christmas show in December.

The USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service reviewed videos of the Dec. 13 incident. The agency’s inspection report said a 14-year-old male dromedary camel kicked an attendee’s head as the camel’s handler guided him down a church aisle for the annual “Christmas Spectacular.” The USDA added that the audience member was taken to a hospital for evaluation and treatment…
