GALVESTON, Texas — A Houston man has been arrested following a months-long investigation into allegations of continuous sexual abuse of a child, according to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.
Shane Cleveland, a 55-year-old from Houston, Texas, was taken into custody after Sgt. M. Stephenson of the Major Crimes Unit led the investigation, which began on December 2, 2025. The investigation was initiated after receiving allegations that the victim had been sexually assaulted multiple times during 2021.
Detectives worked in collaboration with the Galveston County Child Advocacy Center and the Galveston County Multi-Disciplinary Team to conduct extensive interviews and gather evidence.
