A burglary at a west Houston home turned fatal early Saturday when gunfire erupted, killing the homeowner and wounding one suspected intruder, according to police. Houston officers launched a homicide investigation at the scene, but have not yet released the names of the victim or the injured suspect. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and combing through evidence as they try to piece together how the break-in escalated into a shooting, according to KHOU.
