$300M hospital expansion approved

HOUSTON — The University of Texas System Board of Regents gave the green light to another major Houston-area health expansion Feb. 19, continuing nine-figure investments in its local systems.

The board approved a $300 million expansion at the University of Texas Medical Branch League City Hospital Campus, part of UTMB Health. The entire project is expected to be complete by 2030, but services will open as each phase of the project finishes.
