Houston may have a new favorite rapper after riding through the streets with J. Cole.
The Grammy-winning hip-hop artist made his way through the city this weekend as part of his unique “Trunk Sale” tour, a cross-country jaunt has seen Cole making stops in various cities in a beat-up Honda Civic. So far, Cole’s promo run has taken him to New Orleans, Nashville and Huntsville, with his most recent stop in Houston making a real mark on a city that has seen its fair share of rappers.
Cole was first spotted in Houston last week, quietly making an appearance at local clubs The Sugar Room and Area 29 (the same strip club-turned-studio where Drake is reportedly putting the final touches on upcoming album, ICEMAN).
