Three detention officers were relieved of duty after an internal investigation found they assaulted and hurt an inmate in 2024, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
HCSO said it charged the officers with misdemeanor assault causing bodily injury on Friday afternoon, two years after the incident on March 26, 2024.
