HOUSTON – Houston police say an elderly man died after being hit by two different vehicles while crossing Highway 288 Sunday evening.
It happened around 8:20 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of the South Freeway and Holly Hall.
Sgt. David Rose with HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division said they received reports from a witness that he saw the man walking on the shoulder of the main lanes of the highway. The witness tried to call police, but saw the man enter the southbound lanes of the highway. He was then struck by a vehicle and thrown into another lane where he was hit by a Toyota Tundra.
