City of Houston puts new heavy trash program on hold

HOUSTON — The City of Houston had a plan to institute an on-demand heavy trash program, but those plans have been put on hold, according to officials.

They said regular heavy trash pickup would continue. We’re working to find out why the pilot program was put on hold and if the city has a new plan for when to launch it.
