Texas-based military organization experiencing record demand for veterans in need

DALLAS — From serving about 200 service members per month a decade ago to nearly 2,000 now, a Texas-based national digital organization said it’s seeing record demand from veterans reaching out for help with financial and food assistance, career guidance and benefits.

The organization is called Combined Arms, and last year, it served more than 13,000 veterans in Texas alone.

JaRhondaLynn Cameron doesn’t have any pictures or military memorabilia to look back on. What she does have is a cane due to an injury from time served and the memories still etched deeply in her mind, despite Hurricane Katrina washing those mementos away…
