Roberto the 🤡, a seasoned thief, returned to Target only to meet Precinct 2 deputies eager to close the book on his mischief.

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, deputies were dispatched to the Target located at 8503 S. Sam Houston Parkway in reference to a theft call.

Upon arrival, deputies detained 45-year-old Roberto Castro, who had been observed by loss prevention personnel using a knife to cut the anti-theft cords from electrical scooter boxes. During the investigation, it was determined that Castro was a repeat offender from a previous theft at the same Target location.

Deputies confirmed Castro’s identity and discovered that he had an outstanding felony warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and presented with the facts of this case. The Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted Theft charges on Castro. Castro was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail for Theft and the felony warrant…
