Houston, Texas – Drivers across Southeast Texas could face rapidly flooding streets within minutes Wednesday as thunderstorms capable of dumping 1 to 3 inches of rain per hour develop ahead of a cold front moving across the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston, storms are expected to form Wednesday morning and continue into the afternoon, with the greatest severe weather threat north of the Houston metro area and east of Caldwell.
