A Houston neighborhood favorite is closing after decades

HOUSTON — A longtime Houston-area restaurant is preparing to close its doors after nearly three decades in business, marking the end of an era for a neighborhood staple.

The Raven Grill announced it will be permanently closing on Sunday, March 29, after dinner service. In a message to customers, the restaurant said the closure comes after the landlord chose not to renew its lease.

“We are very sad to share that The Raven Grill will be permanently closing Sunday, March 29th after dinner service,” the statement read. “The landlord did not renew the lease for The Raven however Picnic will remain open as the owner moves forward with plans for the property.”…
