A woman killed in the double deadly shooting in February was in Houston to celebrate her 27th birthday, the victim’s mother says.

Houston police said they were called at about 3 a.m. on Feb. 28 to Radio Road just east of Hobby Airport for reports of two people shot. When they arrived, police said they found a woman in a ditch to the side of the road and a man in the middle of the road.
