Clyde Hedrick, man associated with ‘Texas killing fields’ murders, dies in Houston: TDCJ

Clyde Hedrick, known for his association with the ‘Texas Killing Fields,’ murders died in Houston Saturday, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice has confirmed.

Hedrick, then 67, was convicted in 2014 for involuntary manslaughter in connection with the 1984 death of Ellen Rae Simpson Beason, and was released in 2021 after serving eight years of a 20-year sentence.
