The Leader is a Houston-based newspaper and digital publication. The publisher specializes in hyperlocal coverage of neighborhoods such as The Heights, Garden Oaks, Oak Forest, and other North Houston areas.

According to a recent article by The Leader’s editor Stefanie Thomas, the final print edition will be released on March 28. Updates on the website and social media will also stop in a week. The company is ceasing operations after more than 70 years of service.
