An armed suspect is dead after a police officer fired shots at him in the Gulfton area in southwest Houston on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers received a call at 3:52 p.m. on Wednesday about a man walking westbound in the 5800 block of Glenmont Drive with a black handgun inside a pink purse.
