Kelvin Sampson did not have much to say when asked about his Houston team’s early performance in the Sweet 16, offering a response that divided viewers during Thursday’s NCAA Tournament action.
Sampson’s No. 2 seed Cougars down just 9-8 with 10:56 remaining in the first half of their Sweet 16 matchup with Illinois in their hometown. It came shortly after Nebraska was embarrassed by a humiliating gaffe in their March Madness upset loss.
