Caught on camera: Pot of menudo among items stolen in Heights restaurant break-in

HOUSTON — A group of thieves broke into a popular Houston restaurant over the weekend, stealing thousands of dollars in food and supplies, and even a large pot of menudo, according to the business manager.

Surveillance video captured the break-in just before 4 a.m. Saturday at Tacos Doña Lena on West 18th Street in the Heights. The footage shows several people entering through a window and taking items from the kitchen, including a pot of menudo prepared for the morning rush.
