Arrest Made in League City “Killing Fields” Case After 40 Years

BACLIFF – After more than four decades, an arrest has been made in the murders tied to the Calder Road Killing Field in League City.

According to the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office, 61-year-old James Dolphs Elmore Jr. was arrested Tuesday near his Bacliff home after a grand jury indicted him on manslaughter and two counts of tampering with evidence in connection with the deaths of Laura Miller and Audrey Cook.
