HOUSTON Houston police are investigating a bold and unusual theft after a semi-truck was stolen from a local truck stop, and the crime was caught on camera.

What we know:

According to the truck’s owner, surveillance video shows the moment the semi was driven away in the middle of the night from a reserved parking space at a Texaco station along Fondren Road.

The owner, Ahmad Wisal, said he had been paying for a reserved parking space at the location and had only recently purchased the truck.

“Since I bought my truck, I brought it here, and I paid for this truck spot for one month,” Wisal explained. “I got a reserved parking spot, so I parked on March 11, and March 22, it was stolen.”
