Chaos at the “Guitar Hotel”
Monday evening shots rang out near the iconic “Guitar Hotel.” According to a spokesperson for the rapper, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, he was hospitalized following the incident.
Two people were detained by police and officials are investigating the incident, according to a statement from the police department.
“The site is secure and there is no threat to the public,” according to the police department. “Operations continue as normal.”

The iconic “Guitar Hotel”
The shooting took place near one of South Florida’s most recognizable landmarks. The Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood is a massive figure along the South Florida skyline:
- Architecture: Reaching 450 feet into the sky, the hotel is designed to resemble back-to-back guitars, complete with floor-to-ceiling glass panes and brightly lit “strings”.
- The light show: Every evening, the hotel features an orchestrated music and light show. Six high-powered beams of light project at least 20,000 feet into the sky to mimic an imaginary guitar neck.
- Scale: The tower includes 638 luxury guestrooms and suites, adding to a resort that features a 13.5-acre recreational lagoon and a massive gaming floor.
