Governor Greg Abbott directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management to prepare response teams ahead of storms that could bring flooding, damaging winds, and possible tornadoes.
The National Weather Service says the threat will stretch across much of the state through the weekend and into early next week, with conditions shifting toward Northeast Texas over time.
